This was the title to one of Sammy Davis Jr.’s Mega-hit songs back in the sixties.

Those who remember those days, will recall hearing that song playing over and over again… in the subway, on the train, in the supermarkets, and on the lips of virtually every one you passed by…

And yes, when you were alone in your car, even you joined in with the chorus, ‘I Gotta Be MEEEEEEEEEEE!’

It was as ballsy a song as the times themselves….

How could you go wrong? When the first paragraph of the song proclaimed:

Whether I’m right or whether I’m wrong.
Whether I find a place in this world or never belong.
I gotta be me, I’ve gotta be me!
What else can I be, but what I am?

Imagine the freedom, of that proclamation!

No more ‘pretending’, no more hiding, no more inauthenticity.

This is the year… THIS IS THE YEAR!

You Gotta Be You!

I want to live, not merely survive!
And I won’t give up this dream
Of life
that keeps me alive
I gotta be me… I gotta be me!

It’s time to Love Your Spirit with such conviction once more…

When I’m in my livingroom, in my unfettered nakedness and of my own volition fervidly dancing ‘Riverdance’, ample body parts flailing amok, arms stiffly sunk into generous hips (trying to slow the ‘motion of the ocean’)…

The dogs barking madly, warning of possible oncoming epileptic seizure…

Kittens yowling for their fiddles as I, on every 3rd wheezing breath, belt out,

MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!“

Why do I always suggest to you, to proclaim things neked?

Because it forces you to accept yourself,
*as you are*…

and it makes me laugh
(Probably not as much as the meter reader did the last time he dropped by unexpectedly…)

But laugh I do…

Ano-Hou (answer to a prayer) Life Enhancement!

Well, I don’t know about you guys, but, have you noticed a huge energy shift in the air?

Ever since we went outside on the Summer Solstice and embraced it’s magnificence, somethin’s felt ‘different’…

Then, when I asked for a clear ’sign’ from the Angels (as per last week’s Angel Card) I experienced a 5.0 EARTHQUAKE while neked, meditating in the bathtub.
It happened at exactly 1:41 p.m.
That number in ‘Angel language’ means: “Make a wish! You are in a gateway that will manifest your thoughts, right in this moment… according to Angel expert Doreen Virtue.

I have to say, my ‘wish’ was immediately answered!

I wasn’t killed in an earthquake while neked, meditating in a bathtub!

Since then, I have noticed a very powerful, positive energy influx that has coated *everything* with a sprinklin’ of ‘happy’

If I could, I’d be writing this in sunshiney yellow, but I know how incredibly annoying that would be…

It’s really not that anything much has changed here.

It’s just that something humongous, has changed…

The energy has changed…
And I don’t mean my own ‘personal energy’, that came after…

I mean, something has changed that is so much bigger than just ‘us’… Something in the air… or in the Earth perhaps…

Perhaps the Earth in our region just needed a really good ‘burp’ and well, she finally got one out…

Whatever it was, I assure you, something bigger than ‘us’ has changed…

Was it the Summer Solstice?
The Earthquake?
The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse?

Who can pinpoint the moment when *everything changed*?

When did you notice it?

I couldn’t tell you the exact moment, but I can tell you, as quickly and as effortlessly as a switch being turned from ‘off’ to ‘on’, everything changed.

Everything’s changed…

So, what happens next you ask?

I think the Angels have said it best in their weekly message…

Listen to them, and then,

Last Friday, I was preparing the fur-kids lunch or ‘Mad Scientist Experiment’ as Tom likes to call it.

(I’m always adding a ‘dash of this’ and a ‘pinch of that’ along with a heavy helping of ‘Mama Love’ (with raw meat) when I prepare their meals)

I happened to glance up at the T.V. across the room and smiled lovingly at Micaleen who was patiently watching me prepare lunch from her usual place between me and the television.

I went back to mixing ‘the experiment’ when slowly it dawned on me….

I just saw Micaleen…
I JUST SAW MICALEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(For those of you following my Monday reports, you will remember that Micaleen passed into Spirit just a few weeks ago…)

I quickly lifted my eyes once more, but she was gone…
Message delivered…

‘They’ say that the energies of the Summer Solstice are very special… They always are, aren’t they?

Just step outside into the Solstice Experience, out in nature if you can, and sure, naked if you want … and take a big whiff of that wonderful Solstice air… Feeeeeel the energies all around you… the powerful, sizzling energy on your skin from Father Sun… the cool, nurturing energies running through your feet, up your thighs and enveloping your torso from Mother Gaia…

When you come back in, notice! You will be revitalized!

Now for the really fun part… apparently this years’ Solstice energies in particular, are quite special as they are, ‘opening a new gateway that aids in the development and expansion of psychic abilities.’

Whether you believe in these sorts of things or not, *everyone is naturally psychic.*

Those already engaged in using these gifts, can be happy to know that with these Summer Solstice energies, comes a ‘booster’ in your gift.

Get ready for the ‘next level’…

Those of you who would like to open up these abilities can experience a major breakthrough!

Those of you who vehemently deny the existence of these sorts of ‘enhanced talents,’ get ready to bury your head under your pillow when Ol’ Uncle Henry comes to visit you at your bedpost tonight…

All others can ‘Surrender and Release’ to the potentially exciting experiences, just remember to notice, when you get a ’sign.’ It can be grand, but they also come in more subtle, yet equally poignant ways…

“All of our prayers are answered, all of the time.” True statement….

You don’t have to take my word for it, *energy test* it, (kineseology) for yourself! Yes, you do know how to do it!
(That’s another one of the skills that I taught those who attended my seminars and free Gatherings!

The answers come usually as, ‘Yes’, ‘No’, (or not yet!) or “I have something better in mind for you.”

You just gotta love that last answer.

Like many of you, I pray every day. There are sooo many who are suffering some sort of ‘hell’ to pray for…So much to pray and intend blessings for…

I don’t have access to their Soul’s Blueprint, so I can’t really pray for God to fill some sort of specific request for them, after all, we just don’t know what the ‘higher plan’ is for someone…
I always pray for the ‘Highest Good of All Concerned.’… though I gotta say, if someone is in physical or mental anguish, it’s pretty well impossible for me to not to ask for a cessation of that pain… especially when I begin to empathically feel it too…

It doesn’t surprise me at all that there are “Holy Men/Women” who have dedicated their entire earthly lives to sitting atop mountains in prayerful meditation for the good of the world and for all who live in it…
It’s been done for thousands of years… God knows we need it…

HOW we pray is supremely important. Never pray from ‘lack’… pray only in the positive… and intend on the Highest Good for all concerned.

And for heaven’s sake, REMEMBER to ASK for what you want!! Angels love to be asked…

But it doesn’t always work out the way we hoped for, does it?

Our prayers are always answered, only sometimes, they are answered in ways that we believe SUCK! Many answers, we believe, suck BIG TIME!

Yeah, I said it…

Tom was downsized out of his job 18 months ago…
SUCKED BIG TIME… “Bread Winner” to cold turkey, is hard…
harder still on the Soul…

However, at the time, I was very concerned for his health, as his job had become extremely stressful during their ‘restructuring’…
So, really, it was an answer to another prayer, to have him be relieved of the terrible stress load…
(*Be careful how you language your prayers* )

Despite our and those who love us, prayers, novenas, candle-lightings, moon dances etc…
Highly qualified, he’s been to no less than 47,000 interviews since then… and nada… nothing! (yet!)
Despite several nail-biting ‘close calls’ of finding something wonderful for him… NADA… NOTHING! (yet!)…
Oh yes, it sucks… sucks, BIG TIME…
Answer to prayer: NOT easily seen through all those hills of bills

Then, like Manna falling from Heaven last year, I was offered a HUGE business opportunity. An offer that came from someone I know, trust and respect… It was truly a perfectly timed ‘answer to a prayer’. Not only would it end any financial woes, it would give me the satisfaction that only comes with feeling truly ‘useful’ in this world. Living ‘Life’s Purpose’, using my unique skills while reaching the greatest amount of people to help as possible and being *valued* and compensated in return… Oh how we rejoiced! Prayers clearly answered!!

Not so fast Grasshopper….

Suddenly, my Mother was diagnosed with ‘incurable Multiple Myeloma cancer.’
She promptly had a heart attack and had no option but to have extremely risky(in her condition) quadruple bypass surgery or face certain death…
Of course, my full attention turned to her and her care. Sadly, it soon became clear to me, that I couldn’t split my time or focus to do the creative work that was required of me in the time frame required for the project opportunity, and so, in tears, I felt to be fair to the business partners, (despite my prayers for the work) I had to back out of the deal.

It was devastating.
Every day since, we live with the consequences of that decision…
But I cannot regret the choice I had to make at that time.

Every year since 2004, I’ve heart-brokenly lost a most precious Loved One… Not receiving the ‘answer’ I’d hoped and prayed for… My Mother’s condition scared the bejeebers outta me… I was not, and am not, ready for her to leave us…

Despite the Doctor’s worry that my Mother’s china-brittle bones would literally crumble into her heart during the invasive open heart surgery, my Mother survived the operation and rehabilitation…
Prayers, most blessedly answered..

She lives and continues to enrich our lives, living her life with the challenges of Multiple Myeloma, and we thank God every day for the answered prayer of ‘another day’…

During my Mother’s rehabilitation from surgery, my beloved little furkid ‘Tia’ became mysteriously ill.
Despite hundreds of years worth of combined knowledge in the people who were involved in her diagnosis, treatment and care, no reason for her illness was ever found… She steadily declined in health every day, looking at me with those large, beautiful, fawn-like, innocent, brown eyes, and nothing I did, seemed to help…
Not the treatments that were being given day and night, not the prayers, not the ‘power of love.’…
Nothing…
After three months of feeling the most frustratingly inadequate failure a ‘Mom’ can feel, we watched our baby die… The Vet who gave me peace of mind by giving me his schedule and promising me he’d be there at the ‘end’ to ease Tia’s pain at home, never showed up… It was not an easy passing… She died in Tom’s and my arms… It was Tom’s birthday…

In my deeply wounded human heart, I still haven’t found the Higher Good ‘answer to my prayer’ in this situation…
Though my Soul knows, there has to be one…
There has to be….

Last November, in a snow storm, a pneumonia virally infected, mite-infested, mostly dead, jiffy pop for eyeballs- blind kitten the size of a fuzzy peach, planted himself in front of Tom’s car in the driveway like some kind of Tiananmen Square stand off… I thought it was a clump of road salt fallen from Tom’s car, but Micaleen alerted us to his ‘live status’, and we took him in.
The ‘adventures’ of Champ’s recovery have been documented here ever since. Don’t you love it when prayers are so clearly answered in the way you want them to be?
Though for the life of me, I can’t remember ever asking God for a kitten??

Prayers were also positively answered when his light-footed little ‘Shim’ brother, *Star* was found in final death throes, in the snow by the barn, in January and so joined Champ inside our home, on the tables, under the furniture, inside our pillows, up our noses and solidly in our hearts… I had no idea cats scaled walls and could turn on water faucets for ‘fun’…

Two weeks ago, the worlds sweetest, most kind and beloved Tan, Barrel-chested, Wiggling Earred, Innuit Hooptoomoose died..
Our dear Micaleen…
Her passing came right out of left field and sucker-punched us…
Alright now God…enough is enough…
(NO damnit, that’s NOT a challenge!)

Why have I shared a glimpse of intimate portions of my ‘hit list’ with you? Do I think I’m the only one with problems?
Of course not!

And neither are you! Just look around you….

Have you noticed this (apparently) massive increase in suffering in recent times? If you haven’t been personally ‘hit’ have you been ’second hand hit’ by a loved ones’ tragedy?
Have you noticed it in your family or with other Loved Ones? How about friends, neighbours, colleagues? Certainly, you’ve noticed those in the news, hit by massive, natural (and some not so natural) disasters.…
Not just humans, but animals also, even our beloved Gaia herself is suffering… Its’ reached epidemic proportions…

I’ve seen it all around me…
Pointedly, I know a significant amount of ‘Spiritual people and Teachers’, all who have striven in every way to do good works and stay positive despite great personal hardship, die-hard “L.O.A.s”, heeding the ‘Law of Attraction’ philosophy, stiff upper lips now trembling, as we wait between hits, for the ‘good’ side of ‘it’ to happen…
And yet, despite embodying the ‘higher vibrations’, they are being slammed with the most devastating events that have forever changed our lives…

What’s happening? What’s going on?

No, really, I’m asking!!

When the Angels gave me this card to share with you this week, it came with the direction for me to write exactly what came to my mind and clearly, I have…

As always, I defer to the Higher Powers that Be to know what is ‘best’ for us, so I leave you with this message to pontificate….

But in the twirling Carousel of my Carnival mind, I feel that we are being ‘tempered’ like a fine sword… Plunged deep into the blazing fire, pounded repeatedly, to strengthen, harden and prepare us for some…
Higher Purpose… yeah that’s the ticket…

Some, grand and noble Heavenly Design…
and ohhhhh boy… Will we ever be ready…

Why else would a Father allow such suffering to His child, if not to one day gather us up in His arms and say, “See? This is why.”

It’ll give new meaning to the words, ‘I have something better in mind for you.

What is the definition of ‘Power’ to you?

Is it “Money Power”? Can you purchase every single thing your heart desires, including, let’s say, a new heart?
(And can I have a side order of ’soul’ with that please!)

Is it “Physical Power”? Can you do 50 chin ups in a row with your two strong, muscle-y arms, (o.k… and sometimes a good toe-hold) like Champ can?

We’ve all heard about the “Power of Love”? Some say there is nothing greater, “love can move mountains”, perhaps, but it won’t keep a loved one from leaving you… If it is written…

How about Moon Power? Solar Power? “Texas Chili Power”?
(Talk about lighting up the Universe…)

Is it ‘Flower Power’? (Oh yeah, I’ve seen documentaries…)

There’s the “Power of Prayer” which God grants us any one of three answers…1) Yes… 2) No… 3) I have something better in mind for you…

There’s the ‘Power of the Written Word’…
(but damn it Jim, which word????)

There’s “Wind Power” (as the latest micro burst we had Saturday evening proved, when it took down a massive maple tree that stood next to our house…)

There’s “Angel Power” (as evidenced by the massive tree miraculously not damaging the house when it fell against it)

There’s “Power in Forgiveness”… If only we could forgive that @#*!!!

There’s “Brain Power” (one knot goes into knot 5, 5 times… as per Jethro Clampett)

There’s the “Power of Purpose”, not to be confused with the “Power of Porpoise”… (which has it’s own validity and well, purpose… )

How about the power of Laughter? I’ve read scientific papers of a Doctor curing himself of an incurable cancer by locking himself in a hotel room for some knot weeks, doing nothing different but watching the ‘Three Stooges’…

The “Power of Thought”… Woooowooo, that’s a dandy, that one! Some brilliant person once gave a seminar on “How the Power of Thought Can Make or Break Your Life in 3 Seconds or Less… and she was right!

“Power” is Energy…it says so in the Thesaurus… But ‘Energy with Intention’, is the most powerful of all… Of all what? Choice?

There is the “Power of Choice”… But first, you have to choose…

So many POWERFUL choices of Power to consider! Tooooo many for me to even skim the surface of here…

There are as many definitions of Power as there are people, as we are all unique.

We all see, understand and judge things through the filters of our own life experience. If we can remember that, we’ll have the Power to be better people…

In my sandbox, the Power of Peace of Mind, ‘wins’, for if I have “Peace of Mind”, I’ve accomplished everything else…
EVEN, if I haven’t as yet accomplished *everything* I want…

But that’s just me…

Very unexpectedly, a beloved family member transitioned into Spirit this past week.

Micaleen, was our last surviving Arctic rescue from our years up in Frobisher Bay (Iqaluit). Some irresponsible, loopy crackpot up there had the notion to create a ‘Super Guard Dog’ by breeding a Rottweiler with one of the massive Nordic Innuit Dogs chained to the pack ice.

Micaleen, better known to this list as “The Gargantuan, Wiggling Earred, Tan, Barrel-shaped, Innuit Hipootoomoose” from Champ’s Serengeti adventures, was in fact, the sweetest, funniest, most kind and most ‘human-loving’ of our entire pack…(including Tom & me)

We often called her the ‘Walmart Greeter’ as she was the first to offer a warm welcome to any human who had gotten the green light to enter the Inner Sanctum, after thorough ‘body (& mind) inspection’ by the front line German Shepherds and India, our sabre-nosed, psychic, alien Greyhound.

Her unbridled love of humans always amazed me, as I rescued her when she was a puppy from an Innuit boy who was amusing himself by swinging her by her back leg around his head and smashing her to the ground when I called out to him from the police cruiser. She was only 5 weeks old.

Somehow, she not only survived, but soon thrived and her joi de vivre and comic genius blessed our family every, single day of her life. It didn’t matter how tough life was getting at times, Micaleen, or ‘Schmooopy’ as we affectionately call her, had the power to have us instantly ‘change state’. Uplifted and laughing in no time, her little nub of a tail wiggling and waggling in glee when she knew her antics had accomplished the job…

She was also the family ‘cop’… If some of the fur kids started to get a little out of hand with each other, Moopy would hurl her body in between them and break it up before ‘it’ would have much of a chance to start… Madly wiggling that little nub and ‘licky-licky’ing’ everybody’s faces, sticking it in their ear’s and up their noses, her huge tongue blinding them, while squirming in between, under and over every- body involved… 115 pounds of pure *distraction,* who could remember what the fight was about?!?!?!!?

She enjoyed a healthy appetite and abundant health all of her life, though in later years, lipomas became an issue. (Rottie’s tend to be predisposed to this I learned) She was species appropriate fed with a natural raw diet and every meal you placed in front of her was received as though you were Julia Child and this was the first meal Moopy ever tasted…

She loved oranges and apples and indeed enjoyed a ’secret code’ with her Onkel Christoph when he visited, where she would osmosis him every evening, and he would immediately get up and peel and quarter them for her.

But Carrots were her ‘Crack-Cocaine’… I can’t even describe how cute it was to see this tiny puppy up in the arctic go crazy-happy when presented with a carrot! She continued to love to eat them with that same ebullience all of her life.

We called her ‘our Baby’ even though Onyx came after her…

Our sweet, adorable, little happy baby, Micaleen…

She looked the way she has a thousand times while dreaming of ‘chasing rabbits’…

But it was a small seizure….

Cradled in the arms of Tom, Onkel Christoph and me, Micaleen peacefully transitioned into Spirit on the Full Moon.

It was a miracle that kid was doing what he was doing to her the very moment I pulled up in the police cruiser that day so long ago… A moment earlier, a moment later and I would have missed the whole thing, never seeing that tiny ball of Innuit fur that sooooo enriched our lives…

It was a miracle that she survived what he had done to her…

It was a miracle that my Shepherds accepted her into their pack…

It was a miracle that in her later years, she accepted Champ & Star into her pack…

Her attitude and life’s Motto, “Always Carrots/Always Happy,” to me, was an inspirational miracle...

But then, she just had a way of creating miracles all around her… We thank her so, for sharing the miracle of her life…

God knows, I’m going to need a miracle this week to get by here… here, in the cavern emptiness of her physical loss.

I’ve never been able to understand a person who could utter the words, “I’m bored.”

Being a human in this world is a heaven sent, golden opportunity to be constantly amazed with mind enhancing, soul expanding, learning extravaganzas.

To me, it is an utter impossibility to be bored!

It doesn’t matter how many years you will be around, you simply won’t get to the end of ‘everything’ there is to know about life and earth living in one lifetime.
There are just so many staggeringly interesting things to learn!
There are vastly more exhilarating topics than there are people to explore them.

Doesn’t it make you excited just to think of the potentialities?

Access to knowledge is limitless.

If you don’t like to read about knowledge, you don’t have to read to learn… (though I highly recommend you learn to read )

If you don’t like or know how to use computers, you don’t have to receive your knowledge from that either, though I think computers have added an abundance of possibilities and worlds of information at the touch of a finger.

Though as Wikipedia will attest, not everything you read on the ‘net’ is 100% true (“Feel full & Mellow all the time and lose weight on the Marshmellow Diet!”) but it will give you a good start!

There are gripping documentaries on public television that will enrapture your mind and take it away on a mini-vacation! (In case it wasn’t doing anything that weekend)

There are radio programs with provocative guests to learn about topics you never knew even existed…

There are PEOPLE, some of them even in your own family
(I know! The shock of it!!), you can have spellbinding conversations with and acquire knowledge about where it is you came from.

The trials and tribulations of your own people… The accumulated life experiences of the ’stock from which you came’…

Particularly interesting, is finding the eldest relative in your family and giving them a couple of hours of ‘listen time.’ Rather than thinking there isn’t anything at all they can tell you about life, LISTEN in a new, open way and allow yourself to come into the possession of knowledge unique and wonderfully enriching in a way no one else can give you knowledge.

So many ways to learn, soooo little time!

If you aren’t thrilled with one way, use another!

One of my favourite ways to learn about the wonders of existence, is to bring myself ‘to level’ into the Kahuna Mind State (an altered brain wave state), which opens up an entirely new plane of learning. How can *anyone*, anyone with a brain, say they are bored?

With a brain, you have no limitations. With a brain, you can go anywhere, see or even ‘be’ anything or anyone… You can do do and experience, ANYTHING that you like.

Those of us who teach, know there is no end to ‘Study’.

It is simply another word for Learning/Research/Knowledge & Enlightenment. I believe, once you reach your thirties you realize that indeed, you don’t really know ‘everything’ as you perhaps once believed in your early twenties and teenage years.

You learn that life is a never-ending ocean of abundant learning and it’s just too fascinating a ride to ever really want to get off.

Remember, as you continue along life’s journey, it’s a good thing to be a little cracked…

That way, you’ll always let in a little Light.

A couple of years back, when I was a teenager (o.k. o.k., maybe a little bit more than a couple of years ago ) living far, far away from home and family in the wild interior of British Colombia, I had the experience of being in a car driven by a drunk driver.

Yes of course in today’s world, I’m sure I would have had a few more options than I did that dark night, but as it stood at the time, I found myself with the option of taking my chances running the 20 miles back to my mountainous residence through the thickly forested bush without compass or direction, but certainly with plentiful Cougars, Grizzly Bear’s and Sasquatch as incentive to pick up the pace, OR, getting in the car with ‘Mormon Sam’ (not his real name) on the night, unbeknownst to me, that he decided to give “demon alcohol” a first taste, backed up with a good dose of, that good ol’ college try…

Five minutes into the drive, I knew we were going to crash. ‘Crazy Sam’(o.k. that’s his real name) had just that very day picked up his brand new car and wanted to ’show me what his car could do’… sigh… Faster and faster he drove as he manoeuvred the perilous cliff edges, winding and climbing the black mountain road.

The wise words of my Father ran hauntingly through my brain,
“No matter where you are, no matter what time it is, CALL ME if you find yourself in a situation with a drunk driver and can’t get home… NEVER get into a car with a drunk! I’ll come and get you.”
But Dad was 3,000 miles away and there was no(sober)body else… There weren’t any taxi’s in this remote village and there wasn’t anyone else to turn to…
I tried to rationalize the decision in my mind even as I mentally apologized to my Father for letting him down…
I pictured him sobbing over my closed casket, (the body sustained too much catastrophic damage to be displayed) asking ‘Why? OH why was my child such an idiot???’ over and over again…

I remember taking one long, last drag of my cigarette and leaning over and putting it out in the ashtray because I didn’t want a lit cigarette to ignite the fuel from the damaged and leaking gas tank after impact. I wondered how much damage the ‘case of 24′ Psycho Sam asked me to hold on my lap for the drive home would do to my insides after it shattered and impaled me. Then the final moment came…

The last thing I heard was Sam gleefully boasting, ‘95mph in fourth!’

The last thing I saw, was a telephone pole heading right for me…

The last thing I heard, was my Father’s voice…”NEVER get into a car with a drunk!”

I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever, that the only way I survived that crash was through Divine intervention and the quick work of my own beloved Guardian Angel.

It might not have been that obvious…
It may not have been that dramatic…
But I assure you, YOUR Guardian Angel has been there for you…
Sometimes, as in my experience above, their power, grace and intervention has been very,very clear. Other times, perhaps a little more subtle.

*Everybody* has a Guardian Angel (at least one) whether you believe in them or not…
Not only has your Guardian Angel been with you since you were born in this lifetime, but yours was assigned to you the very moment you were a spark that entered into an individual existence, and yours will stay with you until the very end of all time.

Feel the safety and LOVE your Guardian Angel has for you now… Ask for a name… Take the first thing that comes to you…

Take a moment and thank your Guardian Angel for their unwavering, eternal devotion to you.

When was the last time you looked deep, deeeeep into the beautiful limpid eyes of some extraordinarily splendid, decidedly unique, magnificently brilliant and most adored and beloved treasured specimen of God and said, “I Love You” with the utmost of sincerity?

When was the last time you said that, looking into the mirror?
YESSS, the mirror!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you expect to love someone else, when you don’t know how to love yourself?

YES I’m talking about you, you and YOU over there, looking yourself straight in the face and rather than starting your usual morning critique of, ‘OHHHH my GAWD look at that bird’s nest of a hair-do!
(If there’s even enough still there to keep an egg warm)
or
When did I get THAT wrinkle?!?!?
or
I never had hair growing there before?!?!?!?
or
It’s official…I finally have bigger jowls than my bull dog!!!!!!!!!
or
OH Sure I always wanted a bust size 38 D, but NOT a 38 LONG!!!!!!
or
“My nose is too big!”
or (the infamous)
“I’m too fat!”

Please, TRY THIS…and HAVE FUN doing it.

If you hear yourself beginning to ‘bad talk’ yourself in the mirror, CANCEL THAT THOUGHT!!!
Immediately replace it with positive verbiage that will indubitably make you smile

Do NOT let your ‘tag ends’ take away your lovin’ thunder!

Start off and end your day with some good ol’ fashioned positive, self-affirming LOVE…
C’mon, you do it for *everybody* else… Do it for yourself…
JUST DO IT!
Then teach your children and/or your grandchildren, your parents and/or your grandparents to do it too!

I mean, WHO, I ask you WHO spends more time with you than you?!?!?!?
Learn to be your *best company*…
Learn to be your *favourite fan*…
Do you like to hang around negative people??
Of course not!
Well, then… Hellllllewwwwwwwwwwwww????

En-lighten up! Use your alone time wisely…
Help you, help YOU!

Instead of:

“OH look at that bird’s nest of a hair”…

Say = “I’ve never felt soooo freeeee!” “My style, is my own!” “Today, I’m honouring Bird Mothers everywhere!”

“Less hair = MORE time for FUN!”

“Where did I get THAT winkle?!?” = You know exactly where you got it, and you know you EARNED it… It’s a badge of honour that you live to tell about!!! Get more attention than E.F. Hutton by saying, “Let me tell you about the day I earned this wrinkle right here… ” Everybody knows it’s going to be a great story

“I never had hair growing there before!” = “I have the power to GROW HAIR!!!!… I can grow hair where-ever and when-ever I want.” I’m just testing out these new locations

“I finally have bigger jowls than my Bulldog!” = “NOW I can win those ‘Pet Look Alike’ contests and end up on a reality show!!! ” :-$

“I always wanted a bust size 38D but not 38 LONG!” = OH stop quibbling! 38 is still a 38!! Think of all that extra time foreplay will take!!

“I’m too fat!” Did you reallllly say that to yourself???? Would you tell someone you love that they are too fat?
Didn’t you mean it when you said, ‘Size doesn’t matter???’

Love test 101… How do I love me? Let me count the ways…

“I’m currently experimenting on the many different looks that are available to me”…

“My hormones wanted to play, and I decided to let them have some fun for awhile.”

“I saw this amazing outfit, and it only came in a plus size!”

“There I was, working on my mind and my body took advantage of me not looking…”

“My body wanted me to understand, that I deserve my place in this world… my place in this world, is just bigger than I thought it was.”

Put your hand on your heart, look into the mirror and repeat,

I LOVE YOU… Use your name… Harry/Sally/John/Josephine, I LOVE YOU… Tell yourself in the same way that you would express it to the love of your life…Love your mind, love your body, LOVE your ‘whole package’ and watch how it will respond to you, in kind…

Remember, you are a child of GOD… Most adored and beloved, always and forever…

There are veritable legions of Angels whose very existence is to watch over you, love you, and keep you safe for every moment of every day you are away from ‘Home’… You are the finest, most brave, most worthy and precious throughout the entire Galaxy… And you are truly, most decidedly, most thoroughly LOVED.

The month of May has always been a ‘big celebration’ month in our home.

My dear Father had a POW! ‘hit to the left’ (my birthday)
BLAM! a hit to the right! (My Sister’s birthday) and
KABOOOOM! The Trifecta Knockout, ‘Mother’s Day’ quickly following all within a week of each other!

Spirited chorus’s of ‘Happy Birthday’ & ‘Stolat’ (may you live 100 years) crescendoed throughout the week, as mouth-watering torte after torte, exotic-scented bouquet after bouquet and brightly wrapped, ribbon festooned gift packages were presented.

It was a bonanza of a week that at some point was affectionately dubbed, ‘Queen’s Week.’

O.k., it might have been me who dubbed it that.
From birthdays to Full Moons, I am big on ‘ceremony’!

Last year, right in the middle of Queen’s Week, in fact, on my Sister’s birthday, May 7th, sitting in a doctor’s office, my Mother received her diagnosis of ‘Multiple Myeloma’… She was flat out told that day, that there was ‘no cure’ for her rare cancer but that chemo could possibly prolong her life. This imbecilic doctor, who apparently doesn’t believe in ‘bedside manner’, the power of prayer or even GOD, further gave her the ‘time limit’ that she had left to live ‘if she were lucky’ and did the chemo protocol as per his instructions. He even went so far as to huffily spew out to my Mother, “Well, c’mon Mrs. Donovan, you’re in your late 70’s now, just how LONG do you want to keep living anyway?????

For those of you who read the ‘updates on Halina’ every week, you know that amongst the subsequent massive heart attack, Quadruple By Pass Surgery, intense nausea, chemo therapy and other treatments, physical pain and drastic weight loss, she has been battling depression, and what I call, ‘What’s It All About Alfie’ Syndrome… Which I believe is the hardest to deal with of them all..It is almost impossible to make sense out of a ’senseless’ tragedy when you are looking into the eyes of a frightened Loved One.

There have been alot more ‘Celebrations’ in our family since that diagnosis… From the ‘biggies’ of surviving the massive heart attack, invasive surgery, to being able to hold down a bowl of pourridge in her tummy and hold onto a pound… If there is one thing that *teaches* you to Celebrate the moments of your life, it’s the fact of never being sure which day will be your last one here…
And NOBODY knows when that day will come for them.

For those of you who have been through tragedy in your lives, you know of what I speak…
For those of you who haven’t as yet learned the preciousness of the Gift you have been given, and especially for those who learned and have since forgotten, take it from me, and from those who share with you, with the knowledge that only comes from the battle scars of having lived through the fight, or stood on the front lines with a Beloved One while they did, and *remember* this…
*Every Day*

Wake up and let the very first thought that enters your head be, ‘I am deeply Grateful for my Life.’

If you think you cannot think of anything, start off with being grateful for waking up! Not to mention, being able to BREATHE, and WALK, and HEAR, and SEE… that might get you rollin’

Then go ahead and live that day, like you mean it…

Celebrate your life!

Find *some thing* in the course of your day to stop and take notice of, and give thanks for the opportunity of enjoying whatever it is…

Why?

Because a funny thing happens to you, when you are grateful for what you have… You are gifted with more…

Is it a beautiful day?
Did you see a most ‘perfect’ flower or sunset?
Did you enjoy a most delicious cup of coffee or a fine wine?
Did you finally get the heating bill paid? Change that leaky faucet?
Did some complete stranger smile at you today? Smile back!!
(o.k but not to the one’s who are looking at you as though they are trying to figure out if you would fit in their freezer)

Tell *everyone* you love, ‘I Love You.’
Don’t be surprised when someone says it to you!

My Father often told my Mother’s toy poodle ‘Myszka’, “I Love You,” and Myszka would promptly respond with “I Love You,” right back to him!

I know, if I didn’t see/hear it with my own eyes & ears I wouldn’t have believed it either…

I’ve been trying to get my Great Dane, Onyx to say, ‘I Love You Mamma’ ever since… The best I’ve gotten is an air burp back in my face… and yes… I’ve CELEBRATED THAT TOO! ) At least he makes an effort!!!

Because you simply cannot, NOT Celebrate life!

It’s just tooo precious a gift to let all the moments spill away into oblivion… unnoticed…

We are here TODAY…

You never know, it might be all we get…
