Angel Card for the Week of December 7th 2009

Hello Dear Friends of

Ano-Hou (answer to a prayer) Life Enhancement!

As the holidays draw closer, in our quiet moments, we tend to open our hearts just a little wider…

In all the other moments sometimes it’s difficult to keep that open heart when you are racing to get that last parking spot at the mall, or are on the hunt for (insert child’s latest toy craze here) in the stores…

And God forbid if you forget the wine for the Wassalin’ and don’t bring home just the right ‘Figgy Pudding’….

I would like to ask all the Ano-Hou Awaiku (angels) to *SHINE even brighter* in the weeks coming up to this holiday season…

Please remember, there are soooooo many who have endured sooooo much life-altering hardship, heartache, etc. this past year,
You do not know what burden someone may be carrying..

With the holidays tending to make people more emotional and melancholy, sometimes all it can take is a genuine *smile* from a stranger to give them a little hope in their world, and perhaps the strength make it through another day…

I know I’m ‘preaching to the choir’ here, but I’ll remind anyway

Give Love, time, warmth & care to an animal (wild or domestic)… especially one who may be unloved, or at least feels that way…
(but never, never, ever give ‘cooked’ bones to a dog!!!!!!!!! ESPECIALLY the Christmas turkey carcass!)

Encourage a child, give them the gift of knowledge and how their behavior impacts the world…

Perhaps they can visit a (non-axe-murdering) shut in?
A Grandparent? How about a Parent??
Maybe even that ‘Bachelor Uncle and his ‘friend’??…
The ‘black sheep Aunt and her crazy cats’??…
Or volunteer for one day of their school holiday ‘where needed’?
Sigh… So many able-bodied kids… so much baking, cleaning, decorating, wood-stacking etc. *fun* to be had!

Even if cash is really ‘tight’, throw some coin in a tin cup, an empty guitar case, a homeless person’s extended hand… these days, it may even be the hand of someone you use to know!…

Or it may even be the hand of one of God’s Angels…

Remember to take some time to be ‘kind’ to yourself also!!

(But not too much, or for too long… You KNOW you’ll feel too guilty and end up feeling worse… LOLOLOLOL )
